Over the past 30 years I’ve had the privilege of fishing all over the world, especially the waters between the Bahamas and Canada. As the private captain of a sportfishing boat for over 20 years, I’ve spent most of my time fishing the warm waters of the Bahamas and the Florida Keys during the winter months and the colder waters of New England and the Northeast during the summer. This lifestyle allowed me to become proficient in a variety of different types of sport fishing. Whether it’s light tackle, fly fishing, or catching large game fish, I am passionate about all facets of sport fishing. Explore with me the beauty of Everglades National Park (a World Heritage Site) and have a chance at seeing the diverse wildlife that resides there.
The Skiff – A True Classic!
The skiff I fish out of is a 1993 Silverking Silver Flash. At a length of 16’4”, it is the perfect all-around skiff for the Florida Keys, with the abilities of floating shallow and handling the choppy waters of Florida Bay while being incredibly stable. My wife and I tackled re-doing the skiff in 2021, and now it is good as new. Whether we decide to anchor on the ocean-side for strings of Tarpon, or pole shallow flats for Redfish and Snook, I guarantee you will enjoy this wonderful boat as much as I do.
